Sustainable Materials
Sustainability, to us, begins with intention. Using more sustainable materials is an important part of how VERAFIED continues to evolve. All our leathers are a by-product of the food industry that would otherwise go to waste and we never use exotic leathers. They are all responsibly sourced mainly from Europe, USA and New Zealand.
The focus is not on excess, but on making fewer, better things—objects meant to be kept, worn, and returned to over time. Through a more thoughtful approach to both creation and consumption, a quieter and more conscious kind of luxury begins to take shape.
Smooth Nappa Leather
We use smooth nappa leather with a refined surface and a fine, delicate grain. Semi-structured with a fine, delicate grain. Highly stable with subtle elasticity, offering good resistance to creasing and the ability to conceal minor marks.
Suede Cowhide Leather
Our suede cowhide leather is crafted from the underside of the hide, featuring a fine, even nap and a refined matte surface. Its open fiber structure creates a soft, textured finish with natural depth of color, while maintaining a lightweight, flexible, and breathable quality.
Calf Hair-On Hide
Our calf hair-on hide preserves the natural hair layer of the leather, showcasing the organic texture, subtle tonal variation, and dimensional character unique to each hide. The surface has a soft, velvety finish with a gentle natural sheen, while the underlying leather base provides structure, durability, and a balanced hand. As a natural material, each piece will vary slightly in pattern and appearance, making every bag inherently unique.
Embossed Leather
Defined by a textured surface and refined dimensional finish, our embossed leather offers depth, structure, and a subtle sheen. The surface reveals subtle tonal variation under different light, while maintaining softness and flexibility together with good resistance to creasing, scratches, abrasion, and everyday wear.
Raffia
Our raffia is valued for its lightweight composition, breathable structure, and refined woven texture. Its visible fiber strands and subtle tonal variation create a dry, organic surface character, while the woven construction provides flexibility, durability, and a stable form suited to everyday use.
